Pitics Hill Lookout Tower

Located about 2km from the village of Égerszög (red stripe, then green triangle trail blazes), the Pitics Hill Lookout is the only man-made vantage point in the northwest Aggtelek karst.

 

The original settlement has been very well conserved within this small Galyaság village. Several streets filled with beautiful peasant houses radiate from the centrally placed church. The cemetery, just above the village, is worthwhile to visit for its spectacular views and old carved wooden grave markers.
