DUE TO TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES THE KOSSUTH CAVE TOUR IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

About the Tour

Distance: 2.2 km (a little over a miles)
Duration: 4-5 hours

The tour departs from the Ticket Office by the Aggtelek Baradla Cave entrance. The Park transports participants to Jósvafő (and back to Aggtelek at the end of the tour). From Jósvafő you will trek overland 1 km with your guide to the Kossuth Cave entrance. Time inside the cave will be about 2-3 hours and traverse a 1.2 km route (total there and back). The total duration including the surface and subterranean sections will take approximately 4-5 hours. The Special Kossuth Cave Tour can be classified as a difficult. Participants should be in good physical condition and be capable of climbing through certain passages. But don’t fret; we guarantee that the unforgettable experience and sights make all the effort worthwhile! From every perspective, the Kossuth Cave is characterised by unique and powerful erosion-formed geological treasures such as fibre stone columns. Accompanied the entire way by the roar of the subterranean creek, visitors will even have to use ropes to cross the lake to the beautiful Hopeless Siphon (marking the terminus of the route).
