The Government of the Republic of Hungary issued a declaration (40/2020. (III.11.) Korm. rendelet) on the whole territory of Hungary in order to prevent the consequences of the mass epidemic (COVID-19), which threatens the safety of life and property, and to protect the health and life of Hungarian citizens.
The prevention of and response to the mass epidemic that threatens the safety of life and property, and the measures to be taken in the event of an emergency ordered to protect the health and life of Hungarian citizens the participation of more than 100 persons in a closed place and more than 500 persons in a non-closed place is prohibited.
According to all these considerations, from March 13th 2020, the caves will be closed to visitors.
