Due to the extremely dry weather and resulting fire danger, the Minister of Agriculture imposed a general ban on fires starting from July 3, 2015 until further notice. The ban extends to all spaces within 200m of wooded areas and forests, including even those areas that have been previously permitted for campfires and grilling, and areas adjoining railway lines and public roads. The ban also extends to controlled burning on agricultural land and igniting gas emissions. In order to avoid the risk of forest fires, the Minister would like to draw the attention of hikers, farm workers and those working on the railroads and public roads to extinguish cigarettes properly and not improperly dispose of them in the woods.
