The 6th annual Best Ecotourism Facility Award in the “visitor centre and nature trail” category was presented by Dr. András Rácz, Deputy Minister of State for Environmental Affairs and Kinga Mathe Mártonné, National Director of the National Tourism Agency on World Tourism Day (September 27) to Aggtelek National Park for its Treasure Hunt Trail. The objective of the competition is to highlight Hungarian ecotourism facilities around the country that best epitomise visitor- and family-friendly qualities. It is important to note that the Treasure Hunt Trail was developed and realised through the national park’s own resources and the inspiration and energies of our colleagues in the ecotourism department, not through a tender.
