Geotope Day Tour, Aggtelek National Park event
Led by a geologist, participants will be taken on a tour along the Baradla Nature Trail between Aggtelek and Jósvafő to discover some of the natural wonders of the surface karst. Learn about the history and geologic processes of the area. Appropriate hiking footgear is recommended.
Geotope Day Tour, Zemplén Nature Reserve event
Led by a geologist, the hike in the central Zemplén area will take participants to Devil Valley (Ördög-völgy) to see opals, the Sólyom Crags (cryoplanative formations created by intensive frost action, lookout tower), rare plants at István-kúti Nyírjes, cryoplanative formations and lookout tower at Nagy-Péter-mennykő, and cryoplanative formations at Pengő-kő. Appropriate hiking footgear is recommended.
International Bird Watching Day event
Aggtelek National Park Jointly organised by Aggtelek National Park and the local chapter of the Hungarian Ornithological Society (MME).

VII. Gömör Fruit Festival event
The VII. Regional Gömör Fruit Festival will be held a week earlier than usual this year. Calm, the aromas of jams, live music, games, dancing, and a little serenity before the rainy autumn weather sets in.
IV. Nomád Baradla Underground Trail Race event
One of the most unusual and exciting foot races in Hungary, the race passes through a section of Aggtelek National Park’s spectacular Baradla Cave. Categories include 16km and 34km, as well as a race for children.
Tour Through the Heart of the Aggtelek Karst, Aggtelek National Park event
Explore a few of the karst countryside’s most memorable formations, such as sinkholes and springs; as well as the ruins of Szádvár Castle and the abandoned village of Derenk.
VII. Annual Jósvafő International Hucul Horse Races, IV. Annual International Farrier Competition and Jósvafő Village Day Celebration event
The small, picturesque mountain village of Jósvafő is playing host to the 7th Annual Hucul Horse Festival August 21-23, 2015.

Slovak Karst – Aggtelek Karst Bicycle Tour event
The Slovak Karst Cycling Club (Gömörhorka) together with Aggtelek National Park are hosting a cross-border bicycle tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of the joint award of World Heritage status to the Aggtelek and Slovak karst.
